Until now, Chipon only monitored the area around your home. If something happened near your office, your gym, or your parents' house — you wouldn't hear about it unless you happened to check the map.
That changes today.
What's new
Work location monitoring. Set your work address and get alerts for incidents near your office, just like you do for home. Previously, work locations were saved but never actually checked for notifications — that's fixed.
Safe zones. You can now add up to 5 custom locations — your parents' house, your kids' school, your gym, your church, anywhere that matters. Each zone has its own custom radius, so you can set a tight 1km watch on your street or a wider 5km net around a neighborhood.
Smart deduplication. If an incident happens in an area where your home, work, and a safe zone overlap, you'll get one notification — not three. The system checks all your locations, then deduplicates so you're informed without being spammed.
How to set it up
On mobile: Go to your Profile, then Safe Zones, and tap Add Zone. Search for an address, set a name and radius, and you're done.
On web: Go to Settings, then Safe Zones. Same flow — search, name, radius, save.
Your work location can be set in Profile, then Edit Profile, just like your home address.
Why this matters
Most people don't spend their whole day in one place. You commute. You visit family. You drop your kids at school. Safety awareness shouldn't stop at your front door.
With safe zones, Chipon watches the places you care about — so you can go about your day knowing you'll hear about anything that matters, wherever it happens.

We're working on time-based zones (only monitor your office during work hours) and route monitoring (get alerts along your daily commute). Stay tuned.
